BMW climate control reset instructions

. Electrical problems can be complex, but sometimes they can be fixed in just a few minutes at home. Follow these steps for the quickest climate control DIY fix:
Step one: Turn off your car to complete the following steps safely!
Step two: Pop your BMW’s hood and find your car’s battery. Disconnect both battery cables, starting with the negative cable, and separate your battery from the cables. You can remove the entire battery from your car to complete this step if it makes you more comfortable.
Step three: Connect the positive and negative battery cables together for about five minutes. This will drain the capacitor in your climate control module, forcing the system to totally reboot.
Step four: Starting with the positive cable, reconnect both cables to the battery.
And there you have it! If your climate control problem could be fixed with a simple module reset, your A/C should be working again.
But it’s possible that this won’t fix the issue. If you’re still having problems with your climate control, it’s time to look at other potential causes of the problem.
