How do you restore faded car paint?

I got my car painted a couple of years ago and it’s starting to fade. How do I fix it?

Sorry to hear your car is already fading. Fortunately, you should be able to stop it before it gets too bad.
First, you’ll want to thoroughly wash your car using a car washing soap and a sponge. This will take off all of the dirt and debris. Then, use an automotive clay bar to remove any leftover dirt. It’s a good idea to use an automotive clay lube, which will help the bar move smoothly across your car.
After that, use a damp buffing pad, electric buffer, and buffing compound to remove blemishes in the paint. Then, polish the paint with the compound and wipe the area with a microfiber towel to remove any leftover residue. Finally, use car wax or paint sealant to create a protective seal over the area.
If your car sustains damage as the result of an accident or weather, it may be covered by insurance.
