Resetting the oil life on a 2016
Honda Accord
is a cinch! All you need to do is locate the trip button and press and release it a number of times until your oil life reads 100%.
Just follow these steps:
  • Press the push-button start twice with your foot off the brake to initialize accessories mode.
  • Locate the trip button on the right side of the instrument cluster.
  • Press it a few times until you see oil life at the bottom.
  • Press and hold the trip button again for 10 seconds.
  • At this point, the oil life should start to flash.
  • Once the oil life starts to flash, release the trip button.
  • Press and hold the trip button again until oil life reads 100%.
