My family and I are driving our Honda minivan from Texas to New Orleans this summer. We’ve got the essentials all packed, but my wife and I are worried that the kids will get bored and restless without their Apple devices. Is there a way to make sure we don’t run out of power before we arrive? How would you go about putting an electrical outlet in a car?

- First, check your car’s compatibility, Make sure that extra power won’t overload your outset or built-in electronic adapter.
- Wire the outlet through the dashboard and connect directly to the car’s battery.
- Or, install a power inverter. This will convert and increase the battery’s power to be strong enough to handle more electronics. You can find one of these on Amazon for about $30 depending on the size. Some drivers even use it to power up their laptops and a printer! #mobileoffice
