How do you put an electrical outlet in a car?

My family and I are driving our Honda minivan from Texas to New Orleans this summer. We’ve got the essentials all packed, but my wife and I are worried that the kids will get bored and restless without their Apple devices. Is there a way to make sure we don’t run out of power before we arrive? How would you go about putting an electrical outlet in a car?

I hear you! No one wants to run out of battery on a
long road trip
, especially one that awesome. Make sure you grab a box of beignets from Cafe du Monde when you get there!
I also love that you’re planning ahead for extra power sources for your epic adventure.** Here’s how to put an electrical outlet in your car: **
  • First, check your car’s compatibility, Make sure that extra power won’t overload your outset or built-in electronic adapter.
  • Wire the outlet through the dashboard and connect directly to the car’s battery.
  • Or, install a power inverter. This will convert and increase the battery’s power to be strong enough to handle more electronics. You can find one of these on Amazon for about $30 depending on the size. Some drivers even use it to power up their laptops and a printer! #mobileoffice
Now that you know your options when it comes to adding extra power to your car, make sure you know the best options for car insurance coverage. Most of us are overpaying for our monthly policy and don’t even know it!
