How do you program a 2006 Scion TC key?
My mom gave me her used Scion for graduation—the thing is, the car has been in the garage a while, and the remote key is lost. I just got a new one, but I have no idea how to link it up to the car. How do you program a 2006 Scion TC key?

. To program a 2006 Scion TC key, just grab your new fob and follow the manufacturer’s steps.
Programming your Scion key isn’t impossible, but it can be a little complicated. You can get the job done by completing the following steps:
- First, start by opening and unlocking the driver-side door. Then, within 5 seconds put the key into the ignition and pull it out two times.
- Next, within 40 seconds, close, then open the driver-side door two times, then put the key in the ignition and pull it out
- Then, within 40 seconds, close, then open the driver’s door two times. Put the key in the ignition and leave it there. Then close the driver-side door.
- Turn the key to the on position (do NOT start the engine) then back off.
- **Do this once **to retain existing remotes programmed and add a new remote.
- **Do this 2 times **to erase all existing remotes and add a new remote.
- Take the key out of the ignition. The power door locks will lock and unlock to signal successful entry into programming mode.
- Now, perform the following steps within 40 seconds:
- **Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons **on the remote simultaneously for 2 seconds, then release.
- Press and hold the lock button and hold for 2 seconds and release (again).
- The vehicle will respond by locking and unlocking the doors to indicate successful programming of the remote.
