How do you prevent a baby from sweating in their car seat?

My car can get pretty hot, and I’ve noticed that my baby gets uncomfortable when we’re in the car for too long. Is there any way I can prevent my baby from sweating in her car seat?

Babies and cars don’t always mix well, but try not to worry! You can use these tips to prevent your baby from sweating in her car seat:
  • Cool down the car as much as possible before putting your baby in the car.
  • Keep your car in a garage or the shade—so it doesn’t get too hot.
  • When you can, limit your driving to before 10 am and after 4 pm to avoid the hottest part of the day.
  • Put a sunshade on the window next to her seat.
  • Bring a portable fan.
  • Dress the baby in light colors to help her stay cool.
Hopefully, those tips help your baby stay comfortable in the car!
