I’m driving my husband’s pickup this week and I’ll need to refuel it soon. But I don’t want to admit to him that I can’t figure out how to open the fuel tank door. How do you open the gas tank on a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie?

No need to be embarrassed—opening the fuel tank door on a vehicle that you’re not used to driving can be tricky! Luckily, we can help you access the gas tank on your husband’s Laramie. To open the gas tank on a 2019
Ram 1500 Laramie
, simply apply pressure on the right spot of the fuel tank door. First, shut off the ignition and exit the truck. Make sure the doors are unlocked and then press lightly on the right edge of the gas tank door. If you’re pushing directly into the center of the door, move your hand slightly to the right and try again.
Once the door springs open, you can fully open it to begin filling up! Fortunately, that’s all there is to—there’s no need to unscrew a gas cap. Simply insert the nozzle into the tank and the interior flapper doors will open.
Of course, you’ll want to get the
best gasoline or fuel for your car
