How do you lock a car in GTA 5?
I’m a security expert (okay, I’m actually just a security guard), and I have to keep on top of making sure all the companies’ doors and fleet vehicles are locked every night. I like to blow off steam by playing GTA 5, but sometimes my work creeps into my personal life. How do I lock a car in GTA 5?

Considering how conscientious you are, it’s no surprise you’re determined to lock your car—even in a video game.
To lock a car in GTA 5, open the Interactions Menu, go to the Vehicle Access Options, and then select who will be able to access your car.
Once you’re in the Vehicle section, you’ll be able to specify those you’d like to grant access to, such as:
- A passenger
- Everyone
- Your crew
- Your Aunt Gladys
You can also select no one, meaning only you will be able to get into your car. This means no one will be able to steal it—Aunt Gladys included. And before you rush to her defense, spare me—I’ve heard all about ol’ Gladys.
With this little tidbit of advice, there’s no doubt that you’ll be able to careen through GTA 5 with nary a worry about anyone accessing your car. Happy destroying!
