Can I get a car loan with a 680 credit score?

I bought my first car the summer before going to college and have driven it every day for the last eight years. With close to 300,000 miles, it finally reached the point where it’s no longer worth paying for repairs. I want to buy a new car, but can I get a car loan with a 680 credit score?

With a 680 credit score, you should have no trouble securing a
car loan
. And by the way—congrats on hitting the 300,000-mile mark!
Most lenders look for a minimum credit score of 661, so your 680 score puts you in a favorable position.
While you can expect approval from most lenders, it’s wise to shop around and compare offers to secure the best rate. Explore your options with:
  • Major national banks
  • Local banks or credit unions
  • Online lenders
  • Dealerships
