of both your car and the car that will be providing the jump. Both cars should be completely off.
Connect one positive cable to the working car’s positive battery terminal.
Now, connect the other positive cable end to your BMW’s jumpstarting connection point. This point is located in your engine compartment and is labeled with a + symbol.
Attach one end of the negative cable to the working car’s negative battery terminal.
Attach the other end of the negative cable to a piece of plain, unpainted metal on your car’s frame.
Start the working car and let it run for about five minutes.
Try to start your BMW. If it won’t start, let the functional car idle for several more minutes before trying again.
Once your car starts, let both vehicles run for a few minutes to allow your battery to recharge.
Finally, turn your engines off and disconnect the jumper cables in the reverse order that you attached them.
