How do you fix a car AC condenser leak?

My AC has not been running as well as it should. It doesn’t cool down the car as quickly as it used to, and with summer approaching, I want to fix this soon. I looked under my car and noticed a leak when I run the AC, so I’m assuming my AC’s condenser is leaking. How do I fix an AC condenser leak?

Fortunately, fixing an AC condenser leak is fairly easy! There are two approaches, depending on the size of the leak. For smaller leaks, you can patch the hole. For larger leaks, you might need to replace your entire condenser.
The condenser is at the front of your car’s hood, so it’s easy to access. If you find a small hole, try using a patching product like Red Angel AC Stop Leak, which you can buy for about $35. Leak fixes like this run through your AC’s system and block the leak from the inside.
Larger leaks cannot be patched and will need
professional
repair. In this case, you will likely need to replace your condenser. Unless you have some serious mechanical knowledge, it’s best to leave this to a professional. You can expect to pay between $370 and $750 for parts and labor, depending on the type of car you have.
