How do you connect Bluetooth to a 2012 Ford Fusion?

I just got a new-to-me car, but I’m having trouble figuring out the technology. How do I connect to Bluetooth in a 2012 Ford Fusion?

Congrats on the new ride! Luckily the process couldn’t be easier. Here’s how to connect Bluetooth to a 2012
Ford Fusion
:
  1. Prepare by putting your Fusion in park and your phone’s Bluetooth is set to “discoverable.”
  2. Push the “Phone” button on your car’s dashboard to the left of the seek cursor. You should see the phone menu pop up on the screen displaying all phones that have been paired.
  3. When a notification pops up saying there are no phones paired, press OK.
  4. When your Ford Sync system asks if you want to add a device, push OK again.
  5. When it says “Find SYNC,” press OK.
  6. Find your car’s Bluetooth connection on your phone, then input the PIN displayed on the Fusion’s screen.
  7. Wait a few seconds for your system to say the SYNC is complete. Then you can follow any additional prompts.
That’s it! You should now be able to use your phone hands-free in your Fusion.
