Congratulations on your new car! If you want to transfer your existing insurance policy to a new vehicle, contact Progressive by calling 1-800-776-4737 or visiting www.progressive.com.
Although it's best to switch as soon as possible, Progressive offers a 30-day grace period if you forget. Your insurance coverage will automatically extend to your new car during the grace period. If you don't transfer your policy before the month ends, your coverage will lapse, and you could be caught
driving without car insurance
.Another thing: even if you keep the same coverage with Progressive, your premiums may increase because different kinds of cars affect insurance rates. You might want to take this opportunity to compare offers and see if there’s a better deal available.
