How do I un-impound my car in GTA V?
I’ve recently gotten into playing GTA V and my car was impounded during one of the missions. I’m struggling to get it back. How do you get your car out of the impound in Grand Theft Auto?

Having your car impounded—whether in real life or in the fictional city of Los Santos—can be quite annoying. It costs you money, time, and hassle.
To un-impound your car in GTA V, you’ll have two options:
Option A:
- Click on your map. You’ll see an icon that represents your vehicle.
- Waypoint your way to the vehicle.
- Pay a fine of $250 at the gate.
- Once you click accept, your vehicle will be released.
Option B:
- Open your in-game phone, go to contacts, and select Assistant.
- Select the option to retrieve your car.
- Note that this will cost you about $5,000.
