The system is meant to support safer driving—it automatically switches the headlights from a low beam setting to a high beam setting when it detects another vehicle or pedestrian.But not every driver prefers to have this system activated. Luckily, deactivating the high-beam assist feature is relatively easy. Below we’ve outlined how to properly turn off the auto high beams on your Honda Accord:
- Put your vehicle in park.
- Turn the ignition off.
- Turn the light switch to AUTO.
- Pull the light switch lever toward you and hold for 40 seconds.
The auto high-beam indicator light should blink twice. This means the system has been disabled!
