How do I get a duplicate car title in Texas?

Is there an easy way to get a duplicate car title in Texas? I just got a new car and I'm trying to sell my old one, but I lost the title. It seems like I need a new one, but I don't know where to start.

To get a duplicate
car title
in Texas, you’ll need to complete an Application for a Certified Copy of Title form, otherwise known as form VTR-34.
Once you’ve filled it out, bring the completed form to your local DMV along with a copy of the owner’s driver’s license. When you’re ready to file the form, you’ll need to pay a $5.45 processing fee. If you choose to file for a duplicate by mail, there will be an additional $2.00 mail-in fee.
It should only take the DMV 20 days to process your new title, at which point they’ll mail it to you! As far as car-related paperwork goes, it’s pretty easy to get a duplicate title. Plus, the DMV will correct any mistakes in your title at no extra cost.
