How do I turn off adaptive cruise control on a Nissan?

I just bought a new Nissan and it has the adaptive control function equipped. I don’t like it but I can’t figure out how to turn it off.

Adaptive cruise control is a beneficial safety feature, so it’s a good idea to keep it enabled to keep you safe. That said, if you want to turn off adaptive cruise control on your Nissan, press and hold the “Cruise on/off” button for at least 1.5 seconds when you first turn on the cruise control. This will set your speed but override the adaptive cruise control function.
