How do I reset tire pressure on a 2019 Honda Insight?

I just refilled the tires on my 2019 Honda Insight, but for whatever reason, it’s still showing low tire pressure on my readout. How can I reset the tire pressure on my Honda?

The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is a safety feature to make sure you don’t blow a tire or
get a flat
. But if you just refilled your tires, the ever-illuminated light can get annoying.
To reset tire pressure on a 2019 Honda Insight, follow these steps:
  • Put the vehicle in park and press the push-button start twice to turn your car to the on position.
  • Press the home button on the left side of the steering wheel.
  • Roll the selector wheel down until you reach Settings.
  • Press down on the selector wheel.
  • Roll the selector wheel down until you find TPMS Calibration.
  • Press down on the selector wheel.
  • Roll the wheel down again until you see Calibration.
  • Select the calibration function.
  • Drive around for a few minutes until the calibration finishes.
  • Consult your owner’s manual if you have any issues.
In the future, you have to recalibrate the tire pressure after refilling them. In some cases, the tire pressure sensor may fail, so you’ll need to replace it. This is only necessary if the steps above prove futile to resetting the tire pressure.
