How do I reset the oil change light in a 2014 Acura MDX?
I recently performed my first at-home oil change for my 2014 Acura MDX, and I was feeling so proud of myself! But then someone mentioned I also need to reset the oil change light—which I didn’t even know was a thing. How do I perform an oil reset for my 2014 Acura MDX?

oil reset, you’ll need to reset the oil change light as a part of the oil change, so your car can accurately let you know the next time you’re due. Thankfully, resetting the oil light will only add a few minutes to your oil change routine—*here’s what to do:- Start by turning on your car. Keep the power mode in the “on” position while you complete the rest of these steps!
- Use your dashboard’s buttons to navigate to your car’s “settings,” then scroll through until you come across an option titled vehicle settings
- Navigate through vehicle settings using the scroll button on the right-hand side of your steering wheel
- **Select “maintenance reset/maintenance info,” then use the up and down arrows to select the option titled “reset”
At this point, your oil change light should be successfully reset. You’re free to turn off your car and clean up the rest of your oil change!
