How do I reset a Honda Pilot service light?

How do I reset the oil light on a Pilot? My uncle’s friend serviced my vehicle recently, but he forgot to turn off the oil maintenance light.

That’s nice of your uncle’s friend to
service your vehicle
for you! It’s good to know a trustworthy mechanic. Fortunately, resetting the oil maintenance light is pretty simple once you know how.
To reset a
Honda Pilot
service light, follow these instructions:
  1. Unlock the vehicle and sit in the driver’s seat. Insert the key in the ignition and put the vehicle in accessory mode. Don’t start the car.
  2. Depending on the Pilot model, locate the Select/Reset button either on your dashboard or steering wheel. If you have a multi-information display screen on your dash, use the up and down buttons on your steering wheel to scroll through to find Engine Oil Life or Engine Oil Indicator %.
  3. If your display says Engine Oil Life, press the Info button on the steering wheel to select the Reset option. Next, press the Select/Reset button again. Then, your oil life reading should reset to 100%.
  4. If your display reads Engine Oil Indicator %, hold down on the Select/Reset button for at least 10 seconds. The display will begin to blink. The indicator should then reset to 100%.
Once you’re through with your service light, spare an extra minute to ensure you aren’t overpaying for car insurance. The
