How do I remove interior scratches from car plastic?
How can I remove scratches from car plastic? My dog scratched up my car door badly––now I’m stuck trying to remove a bunch of scratch marks. Any tips?

“We’re sorry to hear about the damage to your car!
There are two methods you can use to fill in interior scratch marks.
First, you’ll want to use warm soapy water and a rag to gently clean the plastic. Then, try:
Option 1: Plastic filler kit
You can purchase a plastic filler kit to fill in the scratches with putty. Leave the filler on for 24 hours, then smooth it down with sandpaper.
Option 2: Heat treatment
This method is great if you have a heat gun.
- Apply heat to the scratches until the area softens.
- Then, apply a grain pad (you can buy one online).
- Once the area cools, it will harden. Sand the cool area to smooth out the texture.
- Finally, apply a plastic restorer
