You’re right, the VIN can tell you tons of information about your car, including where it was built, the year and model, and its specific features. Here’s how to read a Honda
VIN
.A standard VIN will be 17 digits long. Each digit represents the following:
- Digit 1: The country in which your vehicle was assembled
- Digit 2: Manufacturer
- Digit 3: Type of vehicle (e.g., passenger car)
- Digit 4: Vehicle model (Civic, Accord, Pilot, etc.)
- Digit 5: Body type and transmission
- Digit 6: Trim level
- Digit 7: Security code
- Digit 8: Model year
- Digit 9: Factory of production
- Remaining digits: Sequence of production
