How do I play music through Bluetooth on the Ford SYNC system?

I have a Ford vehicle equipped with the SYNC system. In my city, the radio seems to play the same 10 songs, so I want to listen to music on my phone via Bluetooth. What do I do to play music through Bluetooth on Ford SYNC?

Although almost all Ford models since 2017 have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to seamlessly play music, you can also use Bluetooth capabilities. To play music through Bluetooth on the Ford SYNC system, follow these steps:
  1. Make sure that your phone’s Bluetooth is enabled and that it is paired with the Ford SYNC system.
  2. Press the voice command button on the controls or the steering wheel.
  3. Say ”Bluetooth Audio.”
  4. The Ford Sync system will confirm the switch to Bluetooth Audio.
  5. You can control the music from the steering wheel or with voice commands. Your options are play next/previous track, pause, play, and play all.
