How do I open the gas tank on a 2016 Ford Escape?
I’m new at driving and just got a 2016 Ford Escape for my first car. I don’t *have* to get gas yet, but since it’s the part of car ownership that makes me the most nervous, I want to be prepared. How can I access the 2016 Ford Escape’s gas tank?

Congrats on hitting the road! Don’t worry, there are tons of folks who get tripped up at the gas station when it’s their first time around.
To open the gas tank on a 2016
Ford Escape
, you’ll either need to pull the fuel door release lever found near the floor by the driver’s seat, or use the finger indentation on the side of the fuel door itself to pull the door open. Once the fuel door is open, you’ll run into Ford’s Easy Fuel Capless Filler, which is just what it sounds like. Instead of twisting off a gas cap, you’ll just need to push the gas pump through the Easy Fuel hole and start filling with the
right gas for your car
