How do I open the gas tank on a 2001 Audi A6?
My aunt just gifted me her older Audi because I recently got my driver’s license. I think it’s a great starter car for me, but I’m having trouble with some of the basic functions. For example, how does the gas tank open on a 2001 Audi A6?

, make sure all the doors are unlocked, then press the far right-hand side of the fuel door to make it pop open. The 2001 Audi A6 doesn’t have a fuel door release button inside the car, and the fuel door itself is inconspicuous without an obvious release latch. Although pressing the right side of the fuel door is all it takes to access your Audi’s gas tank, the fuel door will be locked if your car is locked. That’s why it’s crucial to make sure that your car doors remain unlocked when you pull up to the pump.
