This is a great question! You may need to replace your
Buick Encore
’s catalytic converter if you start to experience any—or multiple—of the following:
  • Poor fuel economy
  • Rough running or backfiring
  • Illuminated or flashing Check Engine Light
  • Little to no engine power
  • Unusual exhaust smell
Because some of these symptoms are shared with other, more common issues, it’s always a good idea to scan your engine computer for trouble codes whenever the Check Engine Light comes on to properly diagnose the issue.
