How do I insure a car for one day?

I'm renting a car for one day because I don't own a car. Is it possible to get insurance for a single day?

“You have a few options to insure a car for one day while you’re renting it. The easiest option would be to purchase
rental car insurance
from the rental company. Doing so will ensure the vehicle is protected for the length of your rental.
But if you don’t want to pay for rental car insurance, check with your credit card company. Many credit cards offer rental car insurance as a card benefit. If you plan on paying for your rental with a credit card, check with that card’s benefits department ahead of time. They can help you find out if you’re covered and provide details about the coverage.
Beyond that, you could also opt for a
non-owner car insurance
policy. Non-owner policies are designed for those who borrow or rent cars frequently but don’t own a vehicle. If that sounds like you, it may be a good option.
