How do I get the radio code for a Honda Civic?
I bought a 2019 Honda Civic Si from a private seller. While he said everything was in tip-top shape, he admitted that I needed to replace the battery. After I replaced it, I couldn't access the radio because it needed a code. How do I get the radio code for my Honda Civic?

In newer models of the
Honda Civic Si
, the radio resets itself when you switch out the battery. But the good news is that you don’t need a radio code to fix the issue in most cases. Just press and hold the power button on the radio to reset the system without the need for a code.If this doesn’t work for some reason, you still have two options:
- Take your Civic to the Honda dealership.
- Call Honda at 1-800-999-1009. If you provide the customer service agent with some personal information and the vehicle identification number (VIN), they should be able to give you the radio code.
