How do I get off of my parents' car insurance?
Is there an easy way for me to get off my parents’ car insurance? I'm 21 and trying to become more independent. I want to get off my parents' car insurance, but I don’t know how to do it.

Plus, an independent policy for a young driver could cost double what it does when you’re on someone else’s policy.
Here are a few tips to get you started:

- Take a safe driving course for a safe driver discount.
- Ask your parents about dropping excessive coverage.
- Track your driving for a good driver discount.
It’s probably best to stay on your parents’ policy for a few more years to avoid driving
without insurance
