How do I find my Tesla Model S’ odometer?
This may seem like a silly question, but how do I find my Tesla Model S’ odometer? This is the first Tesla I’ve ever owned and I didn’t realize they came with a learning curve!

Despite being hailed as the leader in new car technology, Tesla’s vehicles aren’t always the most intuitive, especially regarding what you’d typically take for granted. To get to the odometer on your Tesla Model S, you’ll need to:
- Swipe right on the car icon found on the left side of your Tesla’s touchscreen. The odometer is located in the leftmost card.
- When you get to the leftmost card, swipe all the way down—the odometer should be at the very bottom.
If you cannot find your Tesla Model S’ odometer after following these steps, you may need to do a soft reboot. The instructions for doing so should be in your owner’s manual.
Alternatively, you can always use the Tesla app to check your odometer—if you use this method, you’ll be able to see your mileage even without being in your car.
