How do I deal with driving test anxiety?

I’m about a week away from my driving test, but I always get loads of anxiety before I take any test. What can I do to calm my nerves before and during a road test?

Everyone gets some nerves before the driving test, so don’t stress out! To deal with driving test anxiety, try these tips:
  • Get a good night’s sleep the night before.
  • Eat a healthy meal to aid in your concentration.
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes early so you can relax before the test.
  • Use a car that you’re comfortable driving for the test.
  • Practice breathing exercises or meditate before your test.
  • Limit your caffeine intake to lessen the chance of jitters.
  • Don’t tell anyone about the test, as this can increase your levels of stress and anxiety.
By employing these tips, hopefully, you can nail your test the first time around! If you fail, don’t worry about it too much; most states let you retake the test the next day!
