How do I connect Bluetooth to an Acura MDX from 2012?

I have a 2012 Acura MDX that I recently purchased for a friend. I’m having trouble pairing my phone to the Bluetooth system. Do you have any idea how to do this?

Here’s how to connect a phone to Bluetooth in a 2012 Acura MDX:
  1. Press the “Info/Phone” button to the right of the toggle control.
  2. Choose the “Phone/Cellular” phone screen.
  3. Press down on the toggle control and select “Phone Setup.”
  4. Select “Setup Bluetooth Phone.”
  5. Select “Pair Phone.”
  6. The screen should give you a PIN — it’s 0000 by default.
  7. Enable Bluetooth on your phone.
  8. Select “HandsFree” when it comes up in your list of Bluetooth devices.
  9. Once it connects, enter the four-digit PIN.
  10. If done correctly, the multimedia screen should read “Pairing Successful.”
Keep in mind that Bluetooth on the 2012 Acura MDX only allows you to make and receive calls. It does not allow you to stream music from your phone.
