To check the tire pressure on a 2017 Ford Escape, bring up the tire pressure gauge on the display screen. When the tire pressure is low, the icon on your display screen will illuminate. You can also check your tire pressure yourself by removing each tire’s valve stem cap and using a tire pressure gauge on the valve stem.
As an added safety feature, the Ford Escape is equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) that will illuminate a low tire pressure when one or more of your tires is
significantly under-inflated.
Ford recommends checking your tires monthly when cold and inflated to the appropriate pressure recommended on the vehicle placard or tire inflation pressure label.
Driving on underinflated tires is not only dangerous, but it can reduce your fuel efficiency and increase the risk of a blowout. To ensure properly inflated tires, add checking tire pressure to your Ford’s
regular maintenance schedule
