How to find used Toyota Highlander specs

A lot of the specifications listed above will be the same for earlier model years, but other numbers change from year to year. For instance, the wheelbase of a 2019 Highlander is 2.4 inches shorter, while third-generation Highlanders (model years 2013-2019) came with multiple engine options

How to interpret car specs

Reading car specs can feel like trying to interpret a document in a foreign language. What is a wheelbase, anyway, and why should you care? If you’re not familiar with the lingo of automotive specifications, here’s a simple crash course to help you make sense of all those numbers.
  • Base curb weight: The
    weight of the vehicle
with all its standard equipment and a full tank of gas.
  • Dimensions: From wheelbase and total passenger volume to head, leg, shoulder, and hip room measurements, these numbers tell you how big (or small) a vehicle is. Compare them to a vehicle you know well to get a sense of how a new car would feel.
  • Drivetrain: Does the car’s drivetrain send power to the front wheels, the back wheels, or both? Look for FWD, RWD, or
    AWD information
  • Engine displacement
: This is essentially a measure of how big the engine is, but in technical terms it’s the volume, by cubic inches or liters, that the engine’s cylinders take up.
  • Ground clearance
: The distance between the lowest part of the vehicle’s undercarriage and a level surface. This is an especially important measurement if you want to take the vehicle off road.
  • Horsepower: This number measures the sheer power the engine can generate. Technically speaking, 1 hp = the power needed to raise 500 lbs by 1 foot in 1 second. The higher the hp, the more powerful the engine.
  • Torque: This is the rotational power counterpart to horsepower, and it tells you how good the car is at spinning its wheels—literally.
  • Turning diameter: The measure of the smallest semicircle needed for the vehicle to make a complete U-turn.

This app is great, but the customer service is even better! Not to mention convenient! My husband and I got the lowest rate (much lower than the rates I was finding online through my own searches), quickly, and pretty much all through text message! Thank you so much for a hassle free experience👍
