How do I know if my Honda has a recall? My mom and I both drive Hondas, but they are different years and models. She recently had a recall on her car. Now I’m wondering if there’s a recall on mine.

Recalls are common on vehicles as the

and car manufacturers regularly review vehicle safety. It’s certainly possible that there is a recall for your vehicle, and thankfully, there are several ways to check by using your VIN. - Visit the NHTSA website: With your VIN, you can use the NHTSA’s website to search any active or open recalls on your vehicle.
- Honda’s website: Honda’s website for owners includes a recall lookup tool. You can use your VIN or there is an option to search by the model and year.
- Visit a dealership: You can visit aHondadealership to have them check for open recalls. Dealerships typically repair open recalls free of charge as it’s no fault of your own.
- CheckKelley Blue Book: Kelley Blue Book allows you to search for recalls on your car by VIN, license plate number, or make and model.
While manufacturers often reach out about open recalls, it never hurts to check periodically. Doing so can ensure your safety while driving.
