How do I add a new vehicle to my existing car insurance policy?

I just bought a convertible for leisure driving on Sundays, but I still need to get insurance. I've only ever had one car before, so I'm not sure how to add my new car to my existing plan—how do I add another car to my policy?

“Congratulations on officially being a multi-vehicle owner! Typically, you can quickly and easily add a car by calling your insurance provider, or alternatively, through their website or mobile app.
You’ll need to provide the following information for your vehicle:
  • The year
  • The make
  • The model
  • The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
  • Your license plate number
  • Your auto insurance policy
Adding a vehicle to your policy is often a cheaper alternative than having separate policies for each of your vehicles, oftentimes because of
multi-car discounts
offered by your provider.
However, if you want to make sure that you’re getting the best deal possible on your coverage, try using

Enjoy your Sunday drives!”
