How can you save on your car insurance?

I'm looking to purchase a new car and an auto insurance policy along with it. What’s the best way to find cheap car insurance?

This is our favorite question! There are a few different ways to save money on your car insurance—all it takes is smart shopping skills.
The first and most critical tip: shop around! This rings true whether you’re getting a new policy or renewing your existing policy. You never know what may have changed that can affect your rates! Get at least three quotes from different providers.
Jerry makes the process painless. Jerry is an insurance comparison app that shops for low prices with over 50 different insurance companies for free. You will get quotes in seconds, can make changes at any time, and if you ever have any questions, agents are just a text away!
You also have the option to reduce your coverage or raise your deductible. Keep in mind that, while you’ll pay lower monthly payments, you will have to pay more out of pocket in the event of a claim.
In addition, you may be able to save if you can afford to pay your entire 6-month or 12-month premium up front as opposed to making monthly payments. Ask your provider to find out.
Lastly, inquire about discounts. Many insurance companies offer discounts to drivers with clean records, good students, or those who complete a defensive driving course. Check with your insurance company to see which discount programs you may be eligible for.
