How can I reset the maintenance light on my 2016 Toyota 4Runner?
About a month ago, the maintenance light on my 2016 Toyota 4Runner came on. So, I went and got it serviced about two weeks ago. Since then, the maintenance light has not gone away. I know there’s nothing wrong with the car, what can I do to reset the maintenance light on my 4Runner?

Usually, when the maintenance light comes on for a vehicle, it must be manually reset even after service. So don’t worry, this is completely normal.
- Turn the ignition switch to accessory mode or ON. Do not start the engine.
- Press the trip display until you see ODO.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Hold down the trip reset button while turning your car back on.
The maintenance light should now be off, meaning you can drive with a little more peace of mind knowing your car is up to date.
