It is great that you got a good deal on your Buick! With the money you save, you can invest in updating the interior of your car. Repairing leather seats can be very tricky and expensive if the holes are large. Smaller holes are an easy DIY project.
If you have just a few minor scratches or holes, you can purchase a leather repair kit from an automotive shop or even a hardware store.
If the holes in the driver seat are very large, consider getting your leather seats reupholstered. Depending on where you live and the materials you select, this can cost you $200-$750 per seat. I know this is a lot, so I do have another solution for you!
Instead of reupholstery, think about getting car seat covers. You have the option of getting genuine leather or imitation leather. These days, imitation leather looks as good as the real thing and will run you about $300 for a set of two.
