How can I remove the coin tray in a Honda Odyssey?

I keep my coins and gift cards in this compartment. A Starbucks gift card fell into the cracks, and I want to get it back. How can I take out the coin tray in an Odyssey?

Oh, no! You’ll definitely want to get that gift card out—then, you can get yourself a nice holiday drink. The good news is it should be pretty easy.
To remove the coin tray in a Honda Odyssey, you will need a flathead screwdriver. Here’s what to do: Step 1: Unlock your vehicle and enter from the driver’s side. Step 2: On the lower center console, locate the tray and open it. It is to the right of the power outlets on the center console. Step 3: With the media tray fully extended, take the flathead screwdriver and insert it underneath the left side, close to where the sliding tray tracks are. There is a white release tab on the side of the tray. Use the screwdriver to lift the tab and unfasten the left side of the tray. Then, repeat this step on the right side. Step 4: With the white tabs released on both sides, pull the tray out.
Now that you have taken your gift card out of the console, the only thing left to do is celebrate with a drink from Starbucks.
