is a great project car and it will be so cool when it’s done. So let’s get you under that hood! Just follow these steps:- Pull the primary hood release. You will find it to the left of the petals near the driver side door panel
- After pulling the hood release, the hood will pop up, and stay slightly raised
- Go to the front of thePontiacand push the safety catch to the right. It is very small on this model, so you will need to feel around for it with your hand
- Then push the hood up with one hand and use the other to secure it with the hood strut if this model doesn’t have automatic struts
