How can I get cheap car insurance for a vehicle I don't drive very often?

I have two cars. One I use for commuting and errands; the other I use far less. The annual mileage for the latter is about 3,000 miles and it's the most expensive car on my policy. It is financed and I'm wondering how I can get cheaper insurance on it since I don't drive it very often.

“Regardless of how often you drive a financed vehicle, most lenders require that you carry both
collision coverage
and
comprehensive coverage
. This is often more expensive than
liability insurance
only.
Since you aren’t driving this vehicle very often, you could be eligible for discount programs with various carriers. Most carriers offer some kind of low-mileage discount. Often this will require you to download an app or plug in a device in your vehicle.
The best way to find
cheap car insurance
is to shop around. If you aren’t happy with the rate your current carrier is offering, take a look at other carriers in your area. You may be able to find a more affordable option or qualify for discounts with other carriers. “
