How can an electric car be turbo?

I’ve seen a few electric cars being advertised as having turbochargers, but how does this work without the mechanisms of an internal combustion engine converting exhaust gases into more power for the car? Can electric cars really be turbocharged?

Instead of using exhaust gases to boost the engine, the turbos in
electric cars
are a bit of a misnomer, more so referring to the comparable performance you get from an electric motor to that of a gas-powered
sports car
.
Still, that shouldn’t dissuade you from looking into buying an electric car. Because the conversion of electrical energy into mechanical energy is much more efficient with an electric motor vs. a gas-powered engine, you’re going to get the same impressive torque that you would from a turbocharged internal combustion engine.
Driving an electric car is exciting—you’re helping the planet and getting in on the ground floor of a growing industry. If you are thinking of getting an electric car, you’ll want a
car insurance
plan that delivers great coverage at a great price.
