Does Toyota have a paint warranty?

I’m reading about the Toyota new car warranty. While I see the basic warranty and the powertrain warranty, I don’t see anything protecting the paint of the vehicle. Is a paint warranty included in the purchase of a new Toyota?

Fortunately, the
Toyota
three-year, 36,000-mile basic warranty includes a paint warranty. However, this only covers manufacturer’s defects or poor workmanship, including paint peeling or problems with the clear coat.
The Toyota paint warranty will not cover paint chips or scratches that happened as a result of wear and tear, vandalism, or any other type of accident. However, you may find that a comprehensive car insurance policy covers these issues.
Paint repairs that fall outside of your warranty can get rather expensive, so having a respectable maintenance fund is always advisable. If you want to start saving today, use the
