These Are the Secret 2019 RAM Key Fob Tricks You Need to Know
Did you know your RAM’s key fob can open all of your windows without fully starting the vehicle? If not, it’s time to brush up on your RAM key fob tricks.
How to start a 2019 Ram when your key fob battery is dead
To start your Ram:
Place your foot on the brake.
Press the butt end of the key fob against the “Push Start” button.
Your truck will detect the chip inside the key fob and start the engine.
You can also use the Ram UConnect mobile app to start your truck with a dead key fob. However, you’ll need to press the fob against the start button when you want to drive—so your truck knows it’s not being stolen!
The Ram’s key fob has three main functions: lock, unlock, and remote start.
To lock your truck: Push the lock button. The turn signals will flash and the horn will beep to signal your vehicle is locked.
To unlock your Nissan Rogue: Press the unlock button once to unlock the driver’s door. Push the unlock button twice to unlock all doors and the tailgate.
To start your truck remotely: Push the remote start button (the circle) twice within 5 seconds.
Remote start will turn your Ram on for 15 minutes. To turn it off before then, press the remote start button a third time.
Accessing accessory mode with your Ram’s key fob
Once inside your truck, your Ram’s key fob allows you to start your vehicle or enter Accessory mode.
To enter Accessory mode: Press the engine start button without putting your foot on the brake.
You’ll hear your truck’s electronic components turn on, but the engine will remain off. While in accessory mode, you can:
Raise and lower your windows.
Adjust climate control settings. (Fan, heated/ventilated seats, and heated steering wheel features will work, but AC and heat only function with the engine running.)
