All Dodge Journey models between 2009 and 2020 have Bluetooth capabilities—but usually only as an optional add-on or in higher trims.
You’ll therefore need to do some research before deciding on a used model. In most cases, the R/T trim (or Crossroad trim in later years) came standard with Bluetooth. So you may want to keep your eye out for R/T or
Dodge Journey Crossroad
models as opposed to a base-level Express or Dodge Journey SE
. If you do secure a Bluetooth-capable Dodge Journey, pairing your Journey to Bluetooth is fortunately very simple:
- Hit the phone icon on your Journey’s touchscreen
- Press “Yes” to confirm that you’d like to pair a phone
- Instructions will appear on your screen with a PIN
- On your phone, turn Bluetooth on and choose “UConnect” under “Available Devices”
- Put in the PIN from your Journey’s instruction screen
That’s all there is to it! With these easy steps, you’ll be free to make calls or stream music via Bluetooth in the Journey of your choice. Just make sure you still stay focused on the road at all times—even hands-free devices can earn you a
