Yes—the 2020 Kia Sorento does come with a spare tire, but it’s a little tricky to get at.
The spare tire on all Sorentos from 2014–2020 is located underneath the vehicle near the back bumper. Here’s how to get at it:
1: Lift the storage compartment cover located on the floor of the rear storage area inside your 2020 Sorento.
2: Remove the tool kit and car jack.
3: Locate the winch nut—this is found on the bottom of the storage compartment.
4: Use the hexagonal socket and lugnut wrench to loosen the winch.
5: As you turn the winch left, the spare tire will lower to the ground
6: Free the tire from the cable and pull it out from under your vehicle.
7: Rewind the winch using by repeating steps 4 and 5 in reverse order.
Once you’ve freed your hidden spare tire, you can use the car jack to change the flat tire as you normally would.
If changing tires isn’t really your idea of fun, you might want to consider adding roadside assistance coverage to your car insurance
plan. This type of coverage comes in handy if you find yourself stranded on the side of the highway for whatever reason. The average Kia Sorento insurance cost
is about $2,410 a year, but you can find great deals on Kia car insurance by using the Jerry
app. Jerry is designed to save you money by finding the best possible coverage for the best possible price. It’s easy to use, and sign-up only takes about 45 seconds. MORE: Kia Sorento vs. Telluride: One dominates the other
