Yes—the 2014 Chevy Equinox does have Bluetooth capabilities, which means you should have no trouble connecting your phone to your vehicle. All trim levels from the LS up to the LTZ have Bluetooth functionality for this model year.
To connect to Bluetooth in your 2014 Chevy Equinox, follow the steps below:
- Turn the ignition to “ON” without actually starting the engine.
- Press the “CONFIG” button on your digital console.
- Select “PHONE SETTINGS” and then press “BLUETOOTH.”
- Select “PAIR DEVICE.” The display will then show a 4-digit PIN that you’ll need to use later.
- Go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings and make sure Bluetooth is turned on. Look under “Pair new device” or “Available devices” and select the device named “Your Vehicle.”
- Enter the 4-digit PIN given in step 4. The system will then ask you to provide a name for your phone—enter whatever name you wish your phone to be called and then select “Confirm.”
Your phone should now begin the pairing process. You’ll know the process is complete once the system says “ has been successfully paired”.
The Chevy Equinox was first introduced to the market for the 2005 model year and was given Bluetooth compatibility
in 2009
