Does Subaru have a lifetime warranty?
Subaru’s basic new car warranty isn’t super extensive, and I’m looking for more coverage. Do they offer a lifetime warranty at all?

No, Subaru does not have a lifetime warranty on anything except for seat belts. However, some Subaru dealerships offer lifetime warranties.
The carmaker only offers limited warranties. Here’s a snapshot of what some of these warranties cover.
- New vehicle warranty: Basic coverage for three years or 36,000 miles
- Powertrain warranty: Covers engine, timing belts, and more for five years or 60,000 miles
- Seat belt warranty: Doesn’t cover cosmetic fixes. Lasts for the life of your car
- Wear item warranty: Covers brake pads, clutch linings, and more for three years or 36,000 miles
- Rust perforation warranty: Covers rust-through conditions, not cosmetic rust and lasts for five years with no mileage limitation
Once your warranty runs out, you’ll be stuck paying for these repairs out of pocket unless your
car insurance
