Does Michigan have toll roads?
I’m driving through Michigan next week from out of state, and I am wondering if I need to set aside some extra cash for tolls. Does Michigan have toll roads, or am I overthinking it?

Michigan
doesn’t have any toll roads. However, if you are crossing a major bridge or are crossing the border into Canada, you’ll need some extra change for tolls.The toll bridges in Michigan are:
- Mackinac Bridge
- Grosse Ile Toll Bridge
- Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge
- Blue Water Bridge
- Ambassador Bridge
If you are crossing into Ontario, Canada via the Detroit–Windsor Tunnel, you should expect a toll as well. For traveling over the border, you can pay using the following methods:
- American dollars
- Canadian dollars
- Nexpress or Nexus tag
- MacPass or other accepted transponder
